Batter Up!

Construction for the baseball and softball fields along with a bus garage for Robertson County started on Monday, July, 9th. The completion of the fields will be in April 2019. Superintendent Holbrooks goal when arriving at Robertson County, was to have everything located on campus. His goal is now coming to fruition with this renovation. The Black Devils and Lady Devils will have a home site for their games on campus, starting 2019, instead of an off-campus site.

The baseball fields will be located in front of the school while the softball field will be located on property right by the campus.
To start the project, the team has begun to lay out the softball field and clean the perimeter. A GPS system will be used to grade the softball field and bus garage and once that’s completed construction to the baseball field will begin.
The completion of sod for the outfields and the irrigation system is estimated for mid-September.

Funds have been secured for the project, by school bonding and start-up funds, along with a hefty donation by Nelson Hester, Deming alumni. The Fields will be called the Hester Athletic Complex.

2018 KYASLA Design Award

We are very happy to share that the site and campus improvements at Warren East High School won a design award from the Kentucky Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (KYASLA).  We have enjoyed working with the district to provide its students with the best learning environment possible.

Special thanks to Bill Esarey for his great work.

Warren East High School Athletic Complex Jury Comments:

“Impressive transformation of the facility through strong masterplan. Clear, clean development of athletic campus balances playing fields with landscape development as an extension of the high school campus. Kudos for re-vamping and improving what could easily have been a much less strong outcome.”

Windshield Cookies?

Gosh, that's bright!  It looks like the folks across the way could bake some windshield cookies.

Eclipse!

Office party on the roof to watch the eclipse.  Pretty amazing, 95% totality and its still this bright.
