Darley Stud at
Jonabell Farm
Lexington, KY
Located in the beautiful rolling landscape of Southwest Lexington Kentucky, Jonabell is a state of the art equine development by Darley Stud. Encompassing more than 800 acres, this farm is home to more than 170 thoroughbreds, approximately 150 mares and 20 stallions.
The farm boasts a broad spectrum of architecturally designed facilities to accommodate all aspects of equine life. These new structures include: two stallion barns, a full size breeding shed, seven standard barns, a foaling barn, four tenant houses, a maintenance complex and an office building. In addition, the farm underwent a range of site improvements to insure the safety of the horses; including new drainage, grading, landscaping, bridges, six entrance gates and fencing.
Along all stages of this project, from inception to completion, alt32 worked closely with the owner and contractor to facilitate making wise decisions and long term planning goals. Early on, the architect produced a master plan that described the arrangement of all of the buildings, services, and utilities.
