Founded in 2014 as a commercial spinoff of Kentucky Space, Space Tango is a local company in Lexington, KY, which manufactures modules that fly in the microgravity environment of the International Space Station. The modules they manufacture are custom made to fit within the existing systems of the ISS and are tailored to the needs of individual scientific experiments as specified by a global network of clients.

In March of 2019, representatives from Space Tango reached out to alt32 pursuing a renovation of a leased space to serve as their new offices and manufacturing lab. The renovation of their space, a 5,400 s.f. office building on Winchester Road, required a condensed schedule to avoid any interruption to their current production timelines. alt32 + Cox partnered with a contractor to fast-track the design process and finished the project, Design through to Substantial Completion, in 9 weeks. The renovation included the build out of the first floor manufacturing lab, a clean room, staff restroom facilities, and offices. The second floor fit-out included offices, a large conference room, small conference room, restroom, and break area with kitchenette.
